BlackBerry To Launch Its Android Based Budget Smartphone

BlackBerry just confirmed that they will soon launch its two brand new Smartphone’s run by Alphabet Inc Android Operating System. In addition the company also said that the device will have a better prices tag as compared to Priv.

Blackberry recently launched Priv during the last months of 2015, this was the company’s flagship Smartphone for 2015 but sadly the expected sales of the device was not that good as what the company foresees.

BlackBerry reported that they have sold around 3.2 million units in 2015. But it only manage to sell around 600,000 Smartphone’s during the last fourth quarter on the said fiscal year, this reveals that the company’s sales dropped from 1.3 million units sold the same fiscal year of 2014.

Now the company said that they will soon launch two brand new handsets this year, and both run by Android Operating System. Blackberry claims that Priv did not sell well as they have expected because of it’s steeply device price tag. The firm also stated that two handsets will feature fairer price between 300 – 400 dollars. The CEO also revealed that the device will feature a QWERTY keypad while the other will sport a full screen touch display.
