BlackBerry meeting positive targets as closure looms over hardware division

When Blackberry first made an entrance into the market then, it was the in-thing and they were the one that every tech enthusiast wanted to associate with and everyone was just clamouring to get their hands on one of the premium smartphones that was launched back then. After a couple of years though, the story changed and they began to struggle in the market especially with their hardware division which has been threatened with closure more than once in recent times.

However, the CEO has now made new information known to suggest that the hardware division is really doing well now and he’s already two-thirds done with the plan to turn things around.

While the launch of the Android powered DTEK50 and BB Priv hasn’t done much to turn the market in their favour, it is expected that this month is when the call would be made on what would be the future of the hardware arm of the company and with the software and security divisions doing well, John Chen is confident that a perfect streamlining of these sections with other departments would turn back their fortunes for good.
