Already, we know that Blackberry is preparing a new device that would be called Mercury, and even though we don’t know much about it like the price tag it would carry or when it would launch, the Blackberry fans in the United States have a reason to be happy now.
In a tweet that was sent out by a tipster last week, it has been stated that the device would be sold on the Verizon network as at the time of launch. The tipster is not just anyone off the streets but Roland Quandt, who has a track record when it comes to things like this.
So far, we have heard that this would be a device that embodies the true spirit of a Blackberry device and that should mean that the QWERTY keyboard is surely coming back. This is, in a way, an avenue for Blackberry to leave the market with a final pop of everything that they stand for.
Supposed to be built by TCL, the design aspect of the smartphone is believed to be handled by Blackberry themselves.
