BlackBerry Reassures its Users Security After A Dutch Police Email Decryption Testimony

Few days back, when a dreadful report was said by a Dutch Police sitting that he was able to read ultra secure emails from BlackBerry by decrypting. The Canadian tech giant then reassured users on their official website saying all its devices are secure.
In BlackBerry’s post, the company clears out that the report does not have any information on their device, neither any related configuration.

“BlackBerry does not have any details on the specific device or the way that it was configured, managed or otherwise protected, nor do we have details on the nature of the communications that are claimed to have been decrypted,” stated in the post.

The company argued that if reports were true, it could be on the security compromised device, not on the design. The chances were endless. For example, the email decryption happened with user consent, or thru insecure third party application. And this goes without saying that inadequate security from user’s put any device under risk.

The tech giant assured that their device (BlackBerry) has no back doors making it very impossible to hack. To clear it out, the device does not store any data and its password will never be shared to any other party’s even laws enforcement organizations.

BlackBerry assures that their devices will never be compromised with regard to security and privacy.
