BlackBerry To Strengthen Its Encryption Security

BlackBerry announced its plan to acquire the United Kingdom based cyber security Encryption, this recent move by the company is to go deeper in its security service in business in order to morph in a software focused entity with a good turnaround.

The industry pioneer on smartphone is pivoting more on security encryption software and services as popularity on its devices waned, and the company believe that they have a massive potential on this area, so with upgrading cyber security and consulting that is worth $16.5 billion annually.

The terms in the Encryption contract was not announced in public, the recent partnership will bring about 40 or more cyber security experts, who helped test its network for possible vulnerabilities both government and corporate entities into BlackBerry fold.

The recent move to team up with security expert is to strengthen its security record portfolio, and of course this was a natural extension of what the company does since before. The recent acquisition enables BlackBerry to cross sell its security products.

BlackBerry stated that its latest security consulting services along with existing security offerings. This also help its clients to identifying latest security threats, then develop a mitigation strategies to counter those threats, and then implement necessary security standards in order to defend cyber attacks.
