BlackBerry let the lids off two new smartphones, BlackBerry Z3 and BlackBerry Q20.
The BlackBerry Z3 is a 5-inch full touchscreen phone with a resolution of 960 x 540. It’s powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 chipset and 1.5GB RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 8GB, plus a slot for a memory card.
The BlackBerry Z3 is blessed with a 5MP camera. It also features a 1.1-megapixel snapper on the face side. The smartphone features an FM radio and will debut in Indonesia firsthand with a suggested retail price of $200.
Specs of the BlackBerry Q20 are quite sketchy as of press time but we know the phone has a physical QWERTY keyboard — one that makes BlackBerry devices tick in the past. CEO John Chen said he “heard from our ardent BlackBerry customers that the hard buttons and trackpad are an essential part of the BlackBerry QWERTY experience” and that he “want(s) these customers to know that we(BlackBerry) heard them, and this new smartphone will be for them”.
The Q20 has 3.5 inches of display and that’s all we can say for now.
