Nigeria and South Africa are the first two markets that will sell the BlackBerry Z3 in the continent. In Nigeria, the price of the BlackBerry Z3 is 40,000 Naira ($252) while an official pricing is yet to be set for South Africa (the price tag should be around $252).

The BlackBerry Z3 comes with a 5-inch 540 x 960 pixels display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GBof RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage.

The smartphone runs on BlackBerry BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS and is armed with a 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.1MP snapper at the front.

Though a $252 price can be easily considered inexpensive (regarding the specs of the Z3) in some other places, the Nigerian smartphone market can be quite different.

In an industry dominated by sub-$100 smartphones from Chinese arch-rivals Gionee and Tecno, it will be a hard forecast if the BlackBerry Z3 will be successful or not.
