A recent video uploaded online purportedly demonstrating a working an untethered jailbreak of iOS 9.2 on iPhone 6 by a lone hacker identified as “qwertyoruiop”, he also claim that his tool works on iOS 9.2.1 and even the iOS 9.3 beta.
Meanwhile, jailbreakers are still waiting on the line for the release of official jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.2.1 from the known tech expert Pangu or TaiG.
The recent jailbreak for iOS 9, Pangu 9, that works exclusively on iOS 9.0, iOS 9.0.1, and iOS 9.0.2 right now. The release of iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.2.1 plugged many vulnerabilities that Pangu 9 took advantage.
Together with its hacker group, and rival TaiG, both sides are still working on jailbreak solution for iOS 9.2, Apple’s beta release for iOS 9.3 is practically baiting jailbreak developers to show the iPhone maker what other vulnerabilities they can patch before they are going to release.
Meanwhile, the lone hacker seems to have demonstrated a working untethered jailbreak for iOS 9.2, this was according to report from Inquisitr.
The uploaded video seems convincing, though “qwertyoruiop” kept his purported untethered jailbreak solution to Apple’s security patches himself, rather than prove to the community that he actually broken iOS 9.2 through iOS 9.3 beta.
Nevertheless, the video clearly shows that the hacker was running Cydia on iOS 9.2 using Mobile Terminal and WinterBoard. And hacker claims it will also work on 9.3 beta as well, though he offered no visual proof to support his claim.
