Apple has announced the latest iOS version 11 and update has begun rolling out to some devices.
The update brings a wide range of changes and improvements to supported devices in the Apple series and in case you’re yet to get the update pushed to your device, here’s how to go about it.
The update comes after four months of Beta testing phase of the OS. The latest iOS 11 comes with changes including support for Augmented Reality, AR, support for the Animated emojis and many more as listed during the release of the Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X.
How to download iOS 11 on your supported device:
Step 1: Make sure your Apple device is connected to a strong internet connection source, preferably a Wi-Fi network with great signal strength.
Step 2: Go to Settings > General > Software update to check if the update has been pushed to your device. If yes, you’ll see the iOS 11 update notification.
Step 3: Click on Download and Install.
Step 4: Once the download is successfully completed, tap on the ‘Agreed option to proceed from the Apple’s Terms and Conditions page.
Step 5: Your device will perform a reboot once the installation is complete.
There is however another method which involves the use of iTunes, this method will however require you to use a PC.
Step 1: connect your device to a PC with iTunes app already installed.
Step 2: Click on your iOS device at the top of the iTunes bar
Step 3: Click the summary tab
Step 4: proceed to check for updates
Step 5: Click download update and install.
