Mobile Handset Manufacturer Gionee launched the Elite S6 smartphone at a pricing of CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500) in China on Monday. The smartphone which will be available for shipping as from November 22 runs an Amigo 3.1 OS based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop and features a dual SIM support with both Miro-SIM and nano-SIM slots in which one of both SIM slots doubles as the microSD card slot.
Other features of the Gionee Elife S6 include the 5.5 inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels and AMOLED display with a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT67538 processor whose speed was clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM under the hood and 32GB of internal storage memory which can be expanded using microSD card to up to 128GB.
For camera, the Gionee Elife S6 spots a 13MP autofocus rear facing snapper and a 5MP front camera which is equipped with modes such as the Panorama, burst, magic focus, night mode and more with Full-HD video recording also embedded in its features. For connectivity, the smartphone features Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE Technology, USB OTA and USB Type-C Connectivity options and is backed up by a 3,150mAh battery which is guaranteed to deliver up to 18.8 hours of talk time and 342 hours of standby time. The 151.9×74.6×6.9mm smartphone weighing 147grams will be available in Gold and Platinum variants of color.
