Gionee Marathon M5 set to debut in India

Gionee announced the Marathon M5 smartphone will officially be launched on Tuesday in India. The Marathon M5 which had made a wave in China earlier in the year at a pricing of roughly Rs. 23,000 is set to find its way officially into the Indian market.
The Gionee Marathon M5 smartphone which runs on an Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and supports dual-SIM with 4G LTE support for both SIM has a 5.5-inch HD screen with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels and an AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset with RAM size of 2GB and an internal storage memory of 16GB which can further be expanded using microSD card to up to 128GB.
With a dimension of 152x76x8.55mm, the Gionee Marathon M5 boasts of two 3,010mAh batteries which the company says both batteries should last for as long as 96 hours (4 days) and is also capable of reverse charging which allows users to use the smartphone as a powerbank for charging other devices. Still on the battery power, the smartphone has an extreme mode which can boost a 5 percent standby time to last as much as 62 hours and is also equipped with a fast charging system.  Not to forget, the smartphone boasts of a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP camera on the front.
