A few days ago, we told you that Gionee will crush the record of world’s thinnest smartphone (which the Chinese company is currently holding) and the world’s lightest smartphone as well.
In our first article, the device was simply identified as Gionee GN9005 on TEENA which wasn’t the device’s final name. Today, we’ve learnt that the device’s name is Gionee Elife S4.8 and that the actual thickness might be 4.8 millimeters we previously suspected.
Remember we also told you that the smartphone will have a 4.8″ HD display, quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, 1RA, 16GB ROM, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, LTE and a 2,050mAh battery.
How does Gionee make these super slim stuff? Here’s a short video of the world’s current thinnest smartphone, the Gionee Elife S5.5 being assembled (forgive the bad quality).
Update: Another picture of the Gionee Elife S4.8 has been posted on Weibo by the same user.
