Google has decided to extend its security update schedule for the Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X for two more months.
The update extension support is however for two months as the tech company had earlier revealed that the smartphones will stop receiving security updates.
Recall that the smartphones, the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X were released some years ago which comes in line with the software update policy of the tech company.
Google’s software update policy for Nexus and Pixel smartphones states that the tech company will continuously support the smartphones in the range for two years regarding feature updates and three years as regards security updates.
The company earlier stated that both the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will be getting their last update come September but as it appears, the tech company has shifted back on the earlier promise which means the smartphones won’t stop getting support till November 2018.
It is however unclear why the tech company decided to move back on the date line.
