HTC looks to be racing for the Android 8.0 Oreo perfection as the tech company has begun rolling out of the latest OS update to some of its smartphones.
Recall that the Taiwanese tech company had revealed that the HTC U11 will get the Oreo update which will bring along with it support for the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity option amongst other updates.
Following the announcement of the OS by Google just days ago, HTC had beat most other OEMs to the release of the OS update to its smartphones as users of the HTC 10, HTC U Ultra and HTC U11 have confirmed the roll out of the OS.
Recall that Blackberry was the first smartphone company to conform to the OS Update as it released the latest OS to the BlackBerry KeyOne.
In the tweet which surfaced online, HTC users have confirmed the official release of the latest OS to users and the company has been confirmed to have begun a global rollout of the OS update.
There is however no word officially on when the tech company will release updates for other smartphones in the line.
We're excited to bring Android Oreo to HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 owners worldwide! Details & additional devices to be announced soon.
