HTC has officially announced the Desire 700 and Desire 501 smartphones.
The HTC Desire 700 looks much like a bigger HTC One even though the One packs far more superior specs than it. There’s a 5-inch(540 x 960 pixels resolution) display on the Desire 700, an 8MP rear and 2.1MP front-facing cameras.
The device packs a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU with 1GB of RAM. It makes use of an 8GB internal memory, expandable by up to 64GB using a MicroSD card. The HTC Desire 700 is powered by a 2100mAH non-removable power pack.
The phone will be retailed for priced NTD 13900 or $470 in Taiwan, where it will momentarily be available
for sale. Plans for the Desire 700 reaching international shores will reach next year.
The HTC Desire 501 works out to be a 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixels resolution) display successor of the Desire 500. There’s a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, expandable 8-gigabyte memory 8MP and 2.1MP rear and front-facing cameras. HTC Desire 501 is priced at NTD 9900 ($330) and will hit the shelves at the same time as the Desire 700.
The Desire 501 comes in black, white and red color flavors.
