Hardly a day goes by without the news of HTC’s upcoming flagship. Last week, during UEFA Champions League and Europa Cup matches, a torrent of HTC ads covered the side displays on the pitches telling us that HTC has something really popping on. Later on a tweet sent from HTC USA’s account disclosed that “Something HUGE is coming from HTC.”
Though the tweet didn’t reveal much about the “Huge” something, we already know that the Taiwanese phone maker has slated an event for March 1 and it’s very possible, nay, very likely, the company’s flagship HTC One M9 will be announced at the event.
Before now, HTC hasn’t told us any specs about the device but we’ve heard from implacable sources that the handset will pack a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels touchscreen. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset alongside 3GB of RAM. For photography, the M9 will use a 20-megapixel shooter at the back while the front will be covered by a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera.
As for the software, the One M9 will naturally boot Android 5.0.2 out of the box, skinned with HTC’s Sense 7.0 user interface. Meanwhile, the phone will pack a 2840mAh battery cell.
A couple of press shots of the device were posted online yesterday and if you’d like to see the HTC One M9 in full glory, go check it out here.
