HTC recently announced Jason Mackenzie as the newly promoted global Executive Vice President, a position that focus on building strategic partnerships. Mackenzie helped found HTC Americas, organizing the release of 4G smartphone at major U.S. carrier. André Lönne will now fill in as new HTC America President.
“Jason Mackenzie is one of HTC’s strongest senior executives and it was important for us to promote our senior talent and take advantage of his leadership as HTC moves forward,” said by the HTC CEO Cher.
As President of HTC Americas, Mackenzie had helped build company’s image in U.S. as only one of its kind innovative competitor. Under his management, Mackenzie ensured customers become aware of HTC’s big products like One M7, One M8, One M9, and HTC Vive. Mackenzie played a vital role on HTC to foster relationship with Valve, a major player in gaming space.
Chialin Chang President of HTC Sales said “André has had a significant impact on HTC’s businesses across Europe and most recently in North America and with this new role will lead our HTC Americas team to continue our strategic growth in the region”.
Mackenzie’s first responsibilities will be overseeing the upcoming release of HTC M10, known as HTC’s biggest releases this 2016.
