We saw an advertisement poster flying around sometimes last week where HTC started to float a new device, the HTC One X9, which has been said would be “packed with city smarts”, whatever that might mean. Also, judging from the fact that HTC’s devices that carry the number “9” tag are always high end and flagships (take the HTC One A9 and HTC One M9 for example), we have also assumed that this device would be a flagship launching next year. However, new reports have confirmed that the only truth in these suspicions is that the device would be launching next year but wouldn’t be an high end per se.
The report, from @LlabTooFer (which is by the way a respected handle when it comes to news concerning HTC) claims that the One X9 would not feature awesome specs such as the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, no 4GB of RAM and that the battery would surely not reach 3500mAh. There’s also no QuadHD screen and the latest MediaTek processor would surely not be in play.
@evleaks seems to have the same opinion as the device is set at about 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory from them. There is also a rumored 5.5 inch display at a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixel having a 4MP front camera and 13MP rear snapshooter too.
Likewise, there are reports of a new HTC One M10 next year also which would be the latest addition to the impressive line of M-series.
