Those who live in Taiwan can attest to the preferential treatment given to them by HTC, and that’s because Taiwan is HTC’s home country. So then again, the region is going to be getting first, a new HTC midranger that has just been launched in the market for $189 — the HTC Desire 626.
The HTC Desire 626 is a 5-inch smartphone with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The smartphone comes with Qualcomm’s midrange 64-bit chipset, the Snapdragon 410, with an Adreno 306 graphics processor and 1GB of RAM as well as 16GB of expandable storage.
There’s a 13-megapixel camera and LED flash at the back; The left side of the front-facing speakers at the top is marked by a wideangle 5-megapixel camera for taking selfies. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with HTC’s Sense UI skin afloat. The handset features an adequate 2000mAh Li-Ion power unit and is expected to be launched in China, North America and Europe in a few weeks time.
