According to the phone maker, customers responded positively by buying up over 10,000 units of the said smartphone within the time frame of 10 hours. The remaining stock of 5,000 units (a total of 15,000 units were on sale) were cleared out in the following hours also. Another round of sales is expected to be held on the same platform, Flipkart, today.
“Holly offers the maximum features and a power packed performance all in one device. It is bound to give a tough competition to other brands in the same price bracket,” Allen Wang, spokesman for Huawei India said.
The Huawei Honor Holly costs INR 6,999 on Flipkart and in terms of hardware, the smartphone holds together a 5-inch 720p display, 2000mAh battery, 8MP/2MP camera, a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The device boots on Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
