World’s former thinnest phone, Huawei Ascend P6, has been revamped and will break cover as Huawei Ascend P6S before the end of the year.
This was disclosed on Weibo by Huawei’s president, Xu Xin Quan. He said the Ascend P6S will feature an octa-core central processing unit. An octa-core processor which he said will be able to run all eight cores simultaneously like MediaTek’s MT6592 processor. Huawei is known for using it’s own processors on smartphones, the Ascend P6 used a K3V2 chipset made by Huawei.
The Huawei Ascend P6S is expected to pack a little more of what the P6 already offers, judging from it’s name. We also expect it to make a challenge to the title of world’s thinnest smartphone.
