, which is the company’s first smartphone that will launch in Korea, is expected to retail in the region of 300,000 Korean won and will be sold exclusively on the country’s third largest carrier, LG U+.

“We have not yet decided the exact date of releasing the Huawei Honor 6, as we are still discussing with Huawei Korea the amount of orders and the prices,” a spokesperson for LG U+told media men.

Local dealers are ready to extend a warm reception to the Chinese phone maker as one retailer commented, “As local manufacturers and mobile carriers will be banned from providing excessive subsidies on smartphones, Huawei phones will likely have a much greater competitive advantage over domestic smartphones.”

Samsung is the biggest mobile phone vendor in South Korea followed at second by LG.
