Huawei has officially confirmed that it will roll out the latest Android OS 8.0 Oreo to the Mate 9 smartphone along with the P10 device.
The confirmation comes after the tech company officially pulled back the covers on the Mate 10 smartphone which comes as a successor to the Mate 9 device and comes running on the latest Kirin 970 processor.
The tech company, following the official unveiling of the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the Porsha Edition revealed that the Android 8.0 Oreo OS will be rolled out to the Mate 9 and P10 series.
The Mate 9 and P10 series will also get the EMUI 8.0 based on the Android 8 Oreo on it with the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro first getting a taste of the update followed closely by the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus.
The Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro comes into the market running on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box.
The tech company has however not revealed the actual timeline for the OS update roll out for both series of smartphones in its line.
