Huawei in China has announced the launch of its Huawei G7 Plus smartphone similar to the Huawei G8 launched at the IFA 2015 event held in Berlin last September. The G7 Plus smartphone, a successor to the Huawei G7 device is metal clad with physical features such as the antenna bands and speaker grilles similar to that of the iPhone, the device features a few improvements over its predecessor in the areas of higher screen resolution and a better and more powerful processor as compared to the G7.
The G7 Plus features a 5.5-inch IPS full HD 2.5 display with a resolution of 1080×1092 pixels powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939 chipset quad-core clicked at 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz processing speed with 3GB of RAM and 3GB of in-built storage memory which can be expanded to up to 128GB using microSD card. The smartphone runs on an Android 5.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it, capable of supporting dual-SIM function, and has a fingerprint sensor at the back coupled with the 13MP rear facing snapper with autofocus and dual tone flash and it’s 5MP front facing camera placed on the front panel of the device.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone boasts of 4G LTE Support, 3G, Wi-Fi, micro-USB and Bluetooth functions powered a s supported by the 3,000mAh battery and is expected to be in markets with a pricing of about $330 (Roughly Rs. 21,800). The international availability of the device is yet unknown however.
