Some days ago, following the official launch of three new smartphones from Apple, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, Apple announced the official rollout of its latest OS, the iOS 11.

However, days after the official launch of the OS, we have found out that the iOS 11 comes with some great features and improvement while on the other hand is riddled with some bugs.

Here is a list of the best and worst features which came along with the iOS 11 OS, this is to guide Apple users on considering whether to update their device OS or not.

The Good:

Siri update: Apple’s smart AI assistant, Siri, comes with major upgrades in the latest OS update as the assistant has been equipped with the ability to translate phrases into German, Spanish, Italian, French and Mandarin Chinese.

Siri will also be able to display the phrase translation and not only pronounce it.

Live Photos: The iOS 11 comes with better integration for the Live Photos allowing it to add effects such as Bounce, Loop, and also a preview window with will allow you see what you’re editing.

App store: The App store has witnessed major changes as the tech company was reported to be deleting multiple apps. The latest update brings section for games and an extensive profile.

Screenshots: The iOS 11 comes with a better screenshot approach as users can tap on the screenshot thumbnail to edit in texts and drawings on their screenshots.

Other good features include:

  • Automatic offload of unused apps when the phone is on low capacity, saving documents and preserving data.
  • Redesigned control center, etc.

The Bad:

Notification: The notification on the lock screen has been messed up as left swipe to clear or view notification now launches the camera.

News and Music: The news and music app did not appear to get any update.
