iOS 8.1 rolls out with Apple Pay

Apple has released the first major update for the iOS 8 which powers the company’s flagship iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones. The OS also runs on the two lastest iPads — the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3; Plus a host of other Apple devices can still upgrade to the latest iOS.

iOS 8.1 released
What the update has brought is quite plenty but the most important of the them all is the much hyped and anticipated Apple Pay which is set to replace credit cards and papers for the normal day-to-day payments issued by an iPhone user. Apple says that over over 220,000 stores support Pay in the US alone.

Apple also brought back “Camera Roll”. No biggies, the menu is a feature that allows you to view pictures stored in your device on iOS 7 and was missing in action when Apple introduced the iOS 8.

Among other things, the iOS 8.1 fixes many bugs brought in by the initial and subsequent iOS 8 releases.
