Ahead of its official release, specs to expect on the Kirin 970 processor has surfaced online as Chinese social media platform, Weibo, welcomed the first photos of specs.
The specs sheet released online seems pretty much like the real deal as the new 10nm chipset being prepared by HiSilicon is expected to launch with the Huawei Mate 10 smartphone.
The release date has however been scheduled for October 10 but prior to its release, here is what we know about the Kirin 970 processor.
According to the screenshot which surfaced online, the Kirin 970 will come packing an octa-core CPU set up with support for the 64bit ARM Cortex architecture.
The processor is expected to pack four cores of Cortex-A73 processor clocked at a speed of 2.8GHz and another four Cortex-A53.
It will also come supporting the LPDDR4 memory with a maximum frequency of 1866 MHz pared with the Mali-G72 MP8 GPU for graphics.
The image which surfaced online further revealed that the processor will support the Cat.12 protocol with connectivity options to include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2 (although no v5.0 in sight).
