Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 breaks cover with LTE and super cheap pricing

Lenovo unveils LTE smartphone with a sub-$150 price-tag.

After the announcement of the Golden Warrior S8, Lenovo has unleashed yet another beast. This new one is called the Golden Warrior A8 and you’ll be marveled at it’s price : specs ratio.

Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 comes with a 5-inch 720 x 1280 pixels touchscreen. It speorts a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera unit just like the S8.

The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat which has been deeply customized by Lenovo’s VIBE UI2.0 user interface. It also comes with a 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB of storage space.

On the processor front, the Golden Warrior A8 carries a MediaTek MT6592 chipset but there’s an exciting twist, so listen. Lenovo added a second┬áchip (a MediaTek MT6290 ) to work as an Internet modem for the device.

So with this tweak, the Golden Warrior A8 supports GSM, 3G and LTE, even though these are compatible with only China Mobile’s network frequencies for now.

Price of the Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 is CNY 798 ($128) and there’s a version for China Unicom which will sail at CNY 898($144) but all these are restricted to within the Chinese market for now.
