LG rolls out G Watch worldwide

LG has announced the launching of their first smartwatch, the LG G Watch, on the global scene.

Countries where the G Watch will be sold include United States, Canada, France, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Japan, and South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, and New Zealand.

Pricing for the G Watch will be fixed separately according to the respective markets, LG said.

The company says it plans to make the G Watch brand a familiar name to consumers on the long run. Hear CEO Dr. Jong-seok Park speak:

“As one of the first Android Wear devices to market, we see this as the beginning of a long-term commitment to making wearables running Android Wear a household name.”

“We’re confident that once consumers see how useful and compelling LG G Watch can be, it will be integrated into their daily lives, just as smartphone have done.”

The LG G Watch isn’t a newcomer to this website. We showed you details of the wearable after it was officially unveiled at Google’s I/O conference.

Specs include a 1.65-inch 280 x 280 pixels display, single core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, 4GB of built-in storage, and a 400mAh battery.
