Nintendo’s very first smartphone app ‘Miitomo’ expected its official launch sometime march for iOS and Android, with pre-registration process begins February 17, this was what the Japanese game maker announced Wednesday.
Starting the dated of pre registration, people will now be able to register for new Nintendo Account service using their email, social network account, or even existing Nintendo Network ID. Doing so will allow them to get early notification of Miitomo’s availability, added with special unspecified bonus.
Rather solid game, Miitomo will be a “social experience” based on Mii avatars featured on its Nintendo devices. Users will now be prompted to learn about each other by asking and answering questions. The said app also support sharing photos of Miis, and connecting with My Nintendo rewards program that will be launch the same date.
Nintendo is also planning to launch total of five smartphone apps by end of March 2017. The second these still in shadows, but it will not be a communications app, and features familiar character.
Nintendo’s mobile efforts are the result of its partnership with DeNA, struck March 2015. The company forced to adapt a rapidly evolving gaming world, as its Wii U console has struggled in sales, and handhelds like the 3DS are being supplanted by phones and tablets for many people.
