Meizu sold 2 million smartphones in March, up from 1.5 million in January

Chinese tech company Meizu has excitedly announced reaching 2 million sales of smartphones last month, March 2015. The recent success of the Meizu MX4 producer is headlined by an affordable price plus big specs combo, a tactic helping many other Asian phone makers like Xiaomi drive massive sales.

Up from 1.5 million smartphones sold in January this, Meizu will be more than happy if the company reached 20 million sales by the end of this year, Li Nan, VP of Marketing and Sales at Meizu announced on China’s Twitter wannabe, Weibo.

Last year, Meizu signed an agreement with Canonical (the guys behind the Ubuntu on smartphones project) to produce handsets running on Ubuntu Edge that will go on sale this year. The company is also working on an MX Supreme smartphone which reports say will feature a Nokia PureView camera.
