Google released two Nexus devices this year and both have gone on to impress in the smartphone market. The LG made Nexus 5X was a big improvement over the Nexus 5 made by the same brand which also enjoyed some great deal of customer attention. Another of the Nexus devices released is the much more premium Huawei manufactured Nexus 6P and this device has been in the news for mostly the good reasons and for the past few days, some of the bad reasons.
After being faulted for a bad structural design on “JerryRigEverything” – a Youtube account – where it was subjected to the bend test and failed easily, the device has also been faulted based on the glass that protects the camera cave of the device with many users having been complaining of an easy breakage of this glass.
The camera protection glass, said to be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 seems less than advertised due to these users. While some claim that heating from the device might have caused the damage, others have reported that the crack occurs while the phone is just on standing and a select others say a small application of pressure causes this.
Whatever the case, Google and Huawei are yet to make a statement official. We shall be expecting that soonest.
