Nokia today announced the Lumia 525, an upgrade for it’s bestselling Nokia Lumia 520 Windows 8 phone.
The Nokia Lumia 525 packs exactly everything on the Lumia 520, except for a memory increase from the 512MB RAM on the later to 1GB RAM on the Lumia 525.
Asides that the Lumia 525 preserves all other specs on the it’s predecessor, all of it: A 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, expandable inbuilt storage sitting at 8GB, 1.0GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8227 processor, Adreno 305 GPU and 1430mAh user-removable battery. There’s only a 5MP camera sitting at the back of the smartphone, without support for flashlight whatsoever.
Nokia Lumia 525 still runs the Windows Phone 8.0 operating system on the Lumia 520 even though Microsoft had already started testing Windows Phone 8.1 on some Nokia phones.
The pricing should be relatively the same for both phones, the Nokia Lumia 520 was popularly known for dominating the Windows Phone market with it’s sub-$130 price tag.
