Tech company, Qualcomm has following its claim that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be packing the Snapdragon 835 and not the Snapdragon 836 processor as earlier speculated and revealed by the phone company confirmed that it might not be producing the upgraded chipset.
Recall that the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 were reported to be coming with the upgraded chipset which was loaded on to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus device.
The smartphone chipset company hinted that as against last year when it released the Snapdragon 820 earlier in the year and later added on an improved chipset, Snapdragon 821, 2017 may not be getting the same treat.
A new rumor which surfaced online noted that the reports that the Snapdragon 836 is in development is false adding that the chipset may not see the light of the day.
Qualcomm, although has confirmed the 835 SoC for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is yet to confirm if the 836 will indeed not be produced.
