After selling off it’s Devices and services department, Nokia has made Rajeev Suri it’s new CEO.
Suri who is the head of Nokia Solutions and Networks since October 1, 2009 was promoted as the CEO of the Finnish telecommunications and former mobile giant. He comes from India and has an Engineering degree from Manipal Institute of Technology, India
Nokia says it will be paying shareholders the total sum of $3.1 billion, being part of revenue received from selling Nokia Devices & Services to Silicon Volley tech giants, Microsoft.
On the new CEO, Rajeev Suri, Nokia Chairman Risto Siilasmaa has this to say, “Rajeev is the right person to lead the company forward. He has a proven ability to create strategic clarity, drive innovation and growth, ensure disciplined execution, and deliver results.”
