Samsung is really making sure that they are as efficient as can be with their recall programme and in Australia, they have already announced that those who have brought in their units would be getting a new one starting from the 21st of September.

On this day, it has also been said that those that would be getting the replacement unit would start to notice a blue ā€˜Sā€™ next to where the IMEI is to indicate that they are not just the old ones but safer versions.

Also, like we have seen them do in Hong Kong, they would be launching something similar which would be an online database where users can enter their IMEIs and confirm whether or not their smartphone is up for recall or perfectly safe in their hands where it is.

As for new customers who were yet to get their hands on it in the first place, October would be their lucky month. As at the time of writing this piece, we are yet to get information on other regions but we believe that would follow suit soon.
