The Samsung Ativ SE debuted last week and much to the disappointment of many, it doesn’t boot Windows Phone 8.1 OS that it’s Nokia counterparts unveiled a few days before had.

Even though a Windows Phone 8 to 8.1 update was promised for customers who purchase the Ativ SE, Samsung felt bad it because it couldn’t get custmoers a piece of what’s hot, so they reportedly started working on a new device that will have Cortana and all her friends she brings in Windows Phone 8.1.

Samsung Ativ Core is the product. And much like Nokia’s Lumia 630/635, the Ativ Core is going to be a budget phone even though it has an upper hand in terms of specs against it’s Nokia competitor.

The Samsung Ativ Core is said to be having a 4.5-inch HD display, an 8MP rear camera, 1 GB of RAM and a 2100mAh battery.
