Samsung Galaxy A5, A3 launches in Nigeria

Samsung Electronics has released two futuristic smartphones into the booming Nigerian mobile phone industry. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy A5 and the Samsung Galaxy A3, these two phones come with a premium aluminum metal and run on Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS beautifully skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

On each of the smartphones, “The two hybrid SIM slots enable users decide between the option of two SIMS or alternating the second slot for memory expansion with a micro SD card” Emmanouil Revmatas, Samsung’s head of info tech and mobile in West Africa, said.

  • 1900mAh battery

  • 13MP front/5MP back camera
  • 2300mAh battery

The two products will reportedly make their way into the market this week though Samsung did not give out specific price tags at the event. Both phones — the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 — were recently launched in India for $401 and $323 which represents 80,2000 naira and 64,600 respectively.
