Samsung Electronics has started taking pre-orders of the company’s slender Galaxy A7. At 6.mm thickness, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the thinnest smartphone made by Samsung yet. Not only that, the device holds another achievement as it’s one of the first set of the company’s full metal-clad devices, with other members being the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3.
While European customers are free to make reservations for the handset at Amazon France and Amazon German, the price of the smartphone has startled many. Bearing a price tag of 499 euros, the Galaxy A7 is costlier than the Korean phone maker’s flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S5 which retails at 430 euros in both stores..
For both markets, the Samsung Galaxy A7 will start shipping by next month though no specific dates were mentioned. The device features a 5.5″ HD touchscreen, Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel camera and a 2,600mAh battery.
