We have been spotting a device that is rumoured to be the 2016 refresh of Samsung’s Galaxy A8 for a while now and even though the smartphone has gone through both of GeekBench and GFXBench tests, there was still no sure thing to hold on to until now when the said smartphone passed through an FCC certification, confirming that we are truly getting a smartphone like that.

The certification also did well to give us some of the key specifications on this device and from what we have seen, it would be a mid-ranger but one in the higher cadre of this class.

From GFXBench, we got to know then that there is every possibility of a 5.1-inch screen on this one and even though that is a downgrade from the 5.7 inches of the original model, it would still cram the same 1080 x 1920 resolution. As regards processors, Samsung would be looking inwards to their Exynos 7420 and from other sources, we know that it would have a configuration of 3GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage space.

Running the Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box, the front camera is a 5MP unit while the back uses a 16MP shooter instead.
