Samsung Galaxy S5 to carry 64-bit 14nm Exynos 6 processor

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been tipped for a January 2014 announcement, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see that development has already started for for the phone.

According to sources in Samsung’s home country, Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is coming with an Exynos 6 system-on-chip(aka chipset). The Exynos chipset will be in 14nm architecture and have 64-bit support.

The chispet will feature ARM’s big.LITTLE octa-core configuration with Cortex-A53/A57 cores that can be run simultaneously, with almost halved power consumption compared to the Exynos 5420 chip.
