South Korean tech company, Samsung has revealed that it is planning to release the Android 7 Nougat update to a range of smartphones in its line.
Coming weeks away from the official unveiling of the Android 8.0 ‘O’ which has been rumored to be the ‘Oreo’, Samsung revealed that a series of smartphones including the TAB E and other tablets will soon start getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update roll out.
The devices including the Galaxy A8, Galaxy A9 Pro, Galaxy TAB E 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab E 9.7 have all passed certification tests by Wi-Fi Alliance for the Android 7 update rollout.
The latest indication points to the fact that the update is being tested and in case all goes according to plan, the roll out should begin in another 2-3 months.
The tech company has however not released the Nougat Update schedule for the smartphones, however, it has confirmed that the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus along with the Upcoming Note 8 will be getting the Android 8.0 support.
