Samsung Tizen Z2 launches in South Africa, a first for the continent

Samsung has broken in to the African market finally with a Tizen powered device and the first would be none other than the new one – the Tizen Z2 – which has seen its first African entrance in the country of South Africa.

This is a major breakthrough for Africa at least and from here, we could see a market expansion so much that Africa would also be a region for the future launch of most of their flagship smartphones too.

As regards the pricing information on the smartphone, the handset would carry a price tag of ZAR 1099 which means about $78 if we are going by the current exchange rate and if you want to buy it on contract, you could get it from the management of Vodacom for R79 which is about $6 every month.

For those who do not know what the fuss is all about, the smartphone which was launched in India last month carries a 3.97-inch screen having 1GBof RAM to power it and an expandable internal storage space of 8GB. The camera on the back is a 5MP unit paired to a VGA setup in front and finally, everything is powered by a 1500mAh battery.
