Samsung Mobile’s Kevin Packingham has left the Korean company. The reasons behind his departure was not made known but it looked like he was axed, following a statement made by the company’s spokeswoman, Ashley Wimberly.
She said that, “Kevin Packingham has departed Samsung Mobile,” and that “We thank Kevin for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Kevin Packingham is well known for his appearances on launches for the Samsung Galaxy products. He had been with Samsung for two years and will be notably remembered for successfully negotiating with US carriers to make the Samsung Galaxy S3 available on major US networks.
He worked as chief product officer for Samsung Telecommunications America and a replacement has not been named for his position.
