With just a few days to the Mobile World Congress — where several big name companies are expected to make several big time announcements — Sony has dropped another midranger. This time, the new device is just an LTE-enabled alteration of the Sony Xperia E4 that was unveiled a couple of weeks ago.
The Sony Xperia E4g uses a slightly higher breed of the MediaTek MT6582 chipset found on its sibling. This MT6582 variant uses a 1.5GHz (instead of 1.3GHz) quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU (against a Mali-400MP2 ). All other hardware remain same.
The handset also has a dual SIM model known as the Xperia E4g Dual and both smartphones will hit the shelves in April. The rest of the specs includes 1GB RAM, 5-inch qHD display, 5MP/2MP camera, an FM Radio, 8GB of expandable storage and a sealed 2300mAh battery.
