Sometimes ago, we brought to you the news about some new Xperia units on the market and we were told then that they had the model numbers of G3121 and G3112. Those were the only things that we knew about them then and now, it seems that we have new pieces of information to deal with. Spotted on some regulatory website in Russia in the month of October of last year, a rumour came out over a month later to suggest that the chipset that would be in the units would be QUALCOMM’s own 820 design. However, a user agent has suggested that this might not be the case – well, for the G3112 option at least.
From what can be picked up, this variant would instead be powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset and other than the choice of chipset, it sees that this unit would bear a resolution stand of 1280 x 720p. in what is an interesting turn of events, it seems that there has been one that we have been missing – the G3221 0 which shows up in the user agent also.
Expected to have the Helio P20 chipset also, the new unit is supposed to carry a full HD resolution instead.
