Sony Xperia XZ Premium debuts in red color, gets Android Oreo update

Coming months after the official release of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium which comes into the market with top of the line specs, the tech company has officially unveiled the smartphone in a new color variant.

The smartphone has been revealed to be getting the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS in December according to the tech company.

The December schedule for the Android 8.0 Oreo coming to the smartphone is at least true for units of the device which has found its way into regions including China, Japan and others.

The tech company has however revealed that the update roll out may start sooner than December in other locations.

In related news, the Xperia XZ Premium was also officially announced in the red color variant today.

The announcement of the red color variant comes months after it was spotted online and as regarding the timeline released by the tech company, the smartphone in the red color will officially be available on sale as from October 27 in Japan.

The Xperia XZ Premium is also available in other color variants to include Luminous Chrome, Deepsea Black, and Bronze Pink.
