In the wee hours of the morning, a user pointed us to a new Sony device listed on the United States certification body, FCC’s website.
The Sony D6603 is the device’s model number, pointing at the much recently-talked-about Sony Xperia Z3 that is expected to replace the Z2 after just 6 months.
The FCC listing didn’t reveal much, except that the device in question has NFC, Bluetooth, Wireless LAN and supports a host of GSM and LTE frequencies that are in use in the US.
So that doesn’t change the little we already know about the Xperia Z3. The phone will be using a Qualcomm MSM8974PRO-AC processor (probably a variant of the Snapdragon 805). It will be running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and it will have a 20MP camera, just like the Sony Xperia Z2.
