As what we have read on some post these past days, TaIG Team or PanGu hacking were expected to jailbreak the iOS9.2.1, but it seems that they are not the first one to do achieved the goal, instead Luca Todesco an Italian developer known as the “qwertyoruiop”.
Todesco posted screenshot of their Cydia running the iPhone 6 in order for them to prove that it was really up and running on his hacked device. But unfortunately, he stated on his tweet that he is not planning to make public the jailbreak, this means only that iOS 9.2.1 can be jailbroken and of course the well known hacker will soon release their own hacking tool for public.
As we know that iOS 9.2.1 is still in its BETA stage, means there are still high chances that developers will fix its vulnerability that had allowed the Italian developer to jailbreak it. Likely, if Todesco decide to share it with Apple what vulnerability he had found and how he manages to exploit it in order for him to jailbreak the operating system. Apple might find a solution and create another level of security.
There are many developers around the world and security researches that are interested in finding iOS vulnerabilities in order to report them to Apple. In this way, they make good reputation with the company and there are chances that Apple will consider hire them.
