Vivo has officially unveiled the world’s first commercial smartphone that comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The official launch comes following an earlier report which indicated that the device could be launched later, however, the device came into the Chinese market although there is no word on the pricing and availability.
The smartphone comes into the market packing a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio pegged at 18:9 and display resolution clocked at 2,160 x 1,080 pixels.
Under the hood is an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at a speed of 2.2GHz paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage space with additional space for microSD card slot for memory expansion.
On the optics platform, the device comes into the market with a dual- rear camera setup with a combination of 24MP and 5MP. On the front panel, there is a 24MP camera sensor powered by a 3,800mAh battery which comes with support for fast charging.
Other connectivity options loaded on the device include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS, USB Type-C port and dual-SIM support.
